Teams

Teams are the organizational unit within Axon. Each user may belong to one or more teams, with the permissions being granted as the union of their roles in all their teams.

Permissions and roles

Each team corresponds to a namespace within Axon's compute clusters. With the namespace sameness property, all namespaces with the same name across all clusters are regarded to belong to the same team.

Within each team (namespace), three roles are automatically created upon the creation of the team:

  1. admin: The admin role has all rights within the namespace, and can also add, remove or edit members within the team.
  2. writer: The writer role has edit and read privileges to everything in the namespace, but cannot add or remove members from the team nor edit their roles.
  3. reader: The reader role can only view resources within their namespace and cannot change anything.

The creator of the team is automatically assigned the admin role. Each team must minimally have an admin role. Admins cannot remove other admins, but can promote a team member to an admin.

Billing

Teams are billed individually according to their usage.

Warning

Billing is currently not enabled for the current iteration of Axon. We are still exploring how to consolidate billing within agencies and how to track costs for compute.
